Post-match Player Exit Area Trial
Access to the player exit (also known as the WX14 viewing area) following home matches at Old Trafford has presented several challenges for wheelchair users and ambulant/visually impaired disabled fans.
After consultation and in collaboration with MUDSA, the club have now agreed to dedicate an area for disabled fans and their carers to use after the match, to see the players exit the stadium in a safe environment.
Starting at the Copenhagen game, the club will trial a ticket ballot to allow for fair entry access to this area.
How will this work?
The trial will run for six consecutive competitive men’s and women’s matches at Old Trafford.
The club will be allocating seven wheelchair spaces (plus personal assistants) and seven ambulant disabled / visually Impaired spaces (plus personal assistants) at each fixture.
All supporters who have registered their accessibility status with the Club will have the chance to apply for a ticket at tickets.manutd.com/ballots with spaces allocated to those with a match ticket.
The first ballot will be random, and fans will be prioritised in subsequent ballots by those who have not yet been successful.
Applications open one week in advance of a home game at Old Trafford and close three working days before the game at 8am.
Successful applicants will be notified via email and will receive a digital ticket (separate to your match ticket). This ticket does not guarantee a meet and greet or photo with players.
The area pass is free of charge for match ticket holders and their carers.
Tickets are non-transferable and should be returned to the Club if you are no longer able to attend.
Upon arrival at the player exit area, ticket holders will need to show a form of photo ID as well as their digital ticket for the accessibility area.
Upon completion of the trial, we will work with the club to collate feedback and report back to you.
