New MUDSA Committee member
The committee is very pleased to announce that we have co-opted Alan Rayment on to the MUDSA committee. Alan will serve a probationary term, with a view to being permanently elected at the next appropriate AGM.
Alan will begin his appointment by moving from his present location into the new facility on top of the Stretford End, where he will be the official MUDSA rep for that area. Alan is very approachable, so don’t hesitate to go over and say hello. He’ll always be there to help with any issues and generally to act as your representative.
We chose Alan with one eye on the future and one on the past. Alan has been a MUDSA member for well over 20 years now and is a lifelong United supporter. His past achievements are numerous, as you can see from his short message below. Looking to the future, Alan is eminently qualified in many areas to help MUDSA maintain and improve it’s service to the members. We are confident we’ve made a good choice for now and for the future.
MUDSA Committee
I am privileged to accept the role as a MUDSA representative, I have been watching Manchester United for 38 years and been part of MUDSA for 23 years. United are a huge part of my life, watching them home, away and in the past in Europe. I live in North Lincolnshire with my three sons, who of course watch United. I work in a college teaching and counselling.
Previous volunteer roles include governor role at colleges & schools, local town counsellor, press Officer. I have volunteered nationally and internationally for many charities. Current roles in my roles in the community include secretary for community hall and treasurer for our local football club.
In 2011 I was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Health Science by at St John University in York, this was in recognition of my significant contribution to charity and sport. I have previously raced completing The London Marathon and cycling across Vietnam & Cambodia.
In 2008 I hand cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats, and represented Team GB in Para triathlon winning medals at National, European and World level. I bring many transferable skills to the role at MUDSA, I have an outgoing personality with the ability to put others at their ease, possess excellent communication skills and go the extra mile in everything I do. I look forward to the role and I will be introducing myself on match days.
