Chas became a Committee Member in 1997, shortly after organising the very first of MUDSA’s social events — a celebrity quiz night.
He was the stage manager for Cannon and Ball, back when they were big and also managed groups like Teenage Fanclub and Pixies along with his wife, Shirley. His skill set is particularly suited to events, organising just about anything and interacting and co-operating with all different kinds of people.
Shirley and Chas organise the MUDSA Annual Dinner and have also organised MUDSA trips to four European Cup Finals plus many MUDSA trips to Wembley and Cardiff to watch Manchester United.
Chas is a C5 tetraplegic (incomplete) full-time wheelchair user due to transverse myelitis.
